Ask HN: Is Twitter purposely ignoring some of my actions (Favs/RT)?

It's been a while since I noticed it, since it's totally silent and the UI works properly, but looks like Twitter is ignoring all my actions that don't result in a new tweet.

I fav and/or RT a tweet, visit the tweet or reload the page and my fav and RT are gone.

If I Quote RT it works ok.

If I try to update my trending topic preferences, like Location and Personalization, it shows the changes and reloads the component, but nothing really changes and when I do open the preferences again, changes have gone back.

I disabled uBlock but didn't affect it.

I'm using a VPN to connect so wherever my exit node is I get the Trending Topics.

Has it happened to you?

It's political. Twitter doesn't like your type.

The fact that you can still make a new tweet doesn't mean that it gets an equal opportunity to be seen. Most likely, your tweets are kind of brushed aside, keeping you from having much of an audience.

I have 0 followers, there's no risk of that xD My reasoning is that maybe it's some kind of hellban or limited functionality for low quality accounts.
