This is a much needed rebranding from zfsonlinux.

But, in all seriousness, why did this need to happen, and what is its significance, if any? Should I be trying to interpret it, or is it just "here's the new name, just so you know it's the same project when you hear aboit it"?

And how about zstd, anyway?

Branding and marketing is the most important thing in the universe for an open source project.

Does it still have a license that raises concerns about Oracle potentially squeezing users of zfs?
