Ask HN: What is a good Graph DB technology to start out with?

Lately, I've become fascinated with Graph Databases. I'm looking to spin one up just so I can tinker with it.

I know there are several technologies out there to chose from (Neo4j, DGraph, etc) but does anybody have a particular one that they would recommend for this use case?

I'd love something that plays well with Python/AWS, and scales well but is cheap to run in the cloud.

Any tips/advice you might have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
