Ask HN: How do you go about naming a business?

I'm hell bent on going into business for myself. I'm going to do it even if it leaves me broke and homeless. I say I'm going to succeed in a very real way! I've been stuck without motion regarding this for years, and now I'm sick of it. Since I quit my job in November, I'm using this time as an opportunity/blessing to get started.

This now brings up the question of naming the LLC I plan to form.

Any tips for doing so? I'm not sure if I will be doing consulting through the business, or if I will create online apps, etc through the company. Does this matter?
