Please help: database use cases in web applications

I am attempting to categorize the use of databases by web applications, and looking to make a list of "parameters" to consider in such a taxonomy.

For example:

- size of data - schema: rigid vs. flexible - response time: micro-second, ... hours, ... days - query language vs. API - standard query encapsulation (xDBC) vs. API - single <table> queries vs. joins - the number of tables - the kind of schema (single table, star, snowflake etc.,)

and so on.

Could you please help by visiting the google-document at http://tinyurl.com/2ewmy8w and submit your suggestions.

Thanks!
