“Awaiting Further Demand” Meets HN Hug of Death?

Long story short, an issue I follow, and would really like to see be completed, was moved into the aforementioned status. The link is a list of all of such issues. It would seem they all have some level of "needing to be addressed" but not enough demand. So what if all of HN went in and commented or upvoted an issue or two they felt was worthy?
