The Facebook controversy will pass

In time everyone will forget. People who delete their accounts will go back.

The reason is because the people who use Facebook -- your mom and dad, aunt and uncle, grandma and cousins, don't read the tech press, don't care and won't stop using it.

So it's a good time to buy Facebook stock when everyone realises in fact this isn't the end of Facebook.

Online protests are weak, controversy passes in a few news cycles.
