Ask HN: 60-70% of our Stripe charges are failing. Help

We have a lot of unique payment failures on Stripe for a subscription product.

We've put measures up to try to reduce these issues including rejecting prepaid credit cards and doing a $1 authorization charge for our free trial. Surprisingly often, solid customers with a history of payment will suddenly stop charging.

Help please.
