Ask HN: 360 Video geospatial awareness

Hi all,

I have been looking at 360 video for VR use, and was wondering if there is any associated geospatial data encoded with the video (to gather where the current field of view is pointing in 3d space, for example). I have been searching online, but have found almost no resources to study more about 360 video. Any resources are welcome!
